This planet, at first, existed in darkness with no suns and a single moon reflecting dim light from a far away star. Primarily inhabited by Drow at first, most of the surface was primarily rock and barren landscape with little forest.
While trying to escape raiders and pirates travelling through space, a massive ship with Eladrin Elves had made an emergency crash landing on the Drow planet and immediately began defending themselves assuming no one else lived here since it was a dark planet. Through rituals and massive magic from some of their elders, they created the 4 suns now in order to see and drive away their pursuers. This, unknowingly, forced the Drow underground as they were heavily light sensitive and the suns also destroyed their moon, causing daylight to happen about 85% of the year.
Each sun created represented a different season that would currently be happening on the planet. While one season was active, only the Elves of that corresponding season could be awake without consequence. Any other Eladrin that was awake during a season that did not belong to them would suffer serious illness.
Due to these events, the Drow and Eladrin have been at a constant war with one another, each gaining no headway.
