¶ Wastelands to Rediscover Lost Secrets
¶ Overview
Diomun, originally named Liste, was a world much like any other you would be familiar with. Technologically and culturally, you would have probably recognized it as closest to an early 2000s Earth, until the day of The Ripping. A magical tragedy, The Ripping sent the planet of Liste hurtling through time and space, until it resettled millennia earlier, and into the known space of Aethervane, rendering all modern technological advances useless. With regressed people and technology born anew, the world was renamed Diomun, and in the ruins of their future, the people started over.
A single, tyrannical government rose to power in the scramble to adjust back to life. Zachariah the Supreme and his Nobles rule over wastelands of what once was Liste with an iron grip. Placing the blame for The Ripping on magic itself, the Supreme banned all forms of the craft, and magic users now live in fear of being exposed, hiding their powers away for the sake of their own safety. Diomun is still a new world, with much to be discovered (and rediscovered), and it waits patiently for brave adventurers to uncover its secrets.

A catastrophe of unknown origin, The Ripping began in the year 3487 DR, and ended up sending the planet of Liste backwards through time and space, until the world was reborn as Diomun, in 1492 DR among the Outer Flow.
