I'm one of the DMs for the Aethervane campaign. As a former Gamekeeper, I laid much of the early groundwork for the community policies, the wiki content and layout, the town of Bleak Haven, the major spacefaring factions, and the mechanics for how spelljamming works in the campaign.
Real life has recently forced me to greatly reduce my involvement in the Aethervane campaign. I still participate in occasional adventures as a player and DM, but I am no longer active as a Gamekeeper or lore creator. I encourage other DMs to modify and take control of any and all of the content I added to the campaign, including Hon'ni (carried over from the Brightshore campaign), the Rock of Bral, the Wayward Isle, and many of the big players in space, such as the Elven Imperial Navy and the arcane.
For the most part, I use a “theater of the mind” approach to run my adventures, keeping things fast-paced and “rules light.” But every once in a while, I do break out the battle map and minis for a more tactical challenge.
Most of all, I enjoy putting the players at the center of unfolding storylines to see how your actions and decisions build on each other from session to session and impact the campaign.
