¶ Background
Captain Keira Summers helms the spelljammer Void Angel, a regular ship-for-hire out of Bleak Haven. A relatively light vessel, the Void Angel is well-balanced in terms of speed and manuverability, cargo capacity, and weaponry, making it suitable for a wide variety of jobs. She frequently finds herself undertaking riskier contracts for Clevar's Gimcracks and Sundries shadier business operations.
¶ Appearance
Fair-skinned, with dark green eyes and slightly-elongated ears protruding from her tousled black hair, Captain Summers is usually seen around the docks in her long, purple leather coat and tall cuffed boots. Her large commodore's hat, decorated with a vibrantly-colored feather she claims is from a phoenix, makes her easy to find in a crowd. Weapons collectors covetously eye her matched pair of repeating hand crossbows, while those who've had the misfortune to be on their business end and lived to tell the tale note that they never seem to run out of fiery bolts.
¶ Personality
Affable and quick with a smile, Captain Summers has a soft spot for novice adventurers and has been known to undertake voyages for less than the going rate if it's for a good cause. She's known as a reputable rogue, occasionally skirting customs regulations but rarely in gross violation of the law, particularly if it would bring real harm to someone. Captain Summers prefers to avoid outright fights if she can, but harbors an intense hatred for slavers and will plunge into battle with reckless abandon if she comes across them, regardless of her current mission.
She enjoys jazz music and, when in port for a while, will moonlight as a songstress.
